The first national lockdown came as a shock but has the second lockdown been met with calm resignation or are you still anxious and filled with worry?

ActionCOACH founder, Brad Sugars, shares 5 stages to help you get out of worry mode and into thrive mode. Let’s take a look and get your business growing again.

During one of his regular Drive Time Facebook live videos, Sugars recently talked about what the Covid19 pandemic is doing to people’s mental health and in business.

What’s the difference between a business owner in worry mode and a business owner in thrive mode?

Sugars describes someone in worry mode as being someone who doesn’t have the details, not knowing your numbers in business or being clear about what needs to be done in order to solve the problem.

If this is you then you need to put some time aside to do some thinking.

Where are you now and where do you need to be and what will take you from A to B?

5 stages to get out of worry

If you’re ready to put in the time to do some thinking then you will get out of worry mode and here’s how…

Stage one – Identify where you are at? What’s your situation?

Stage two – Work out the one or two big things that are worrying you the most about your situation

Stage three – Look at what the cause of these big worries are (remember, some things are within your control and others are not)

Stage four – What would it look like if you didn’t have these worries?

Stage five – What are the first 3 things you can do to stop those things being a worry?

Opportunity is NOW

Those that see this as an opportunity are in growth mode. Those in worry mode are standing still.

Where is the opportunity for you?

Sugars goes on to share his advice to get into thrive mode…

Geography is history – you can do business anywhere in the world – home working and remote working has meant people are open to doing business with you no matter where you are in the world. The boundaries are not defined.

Things that never get sold are now selling – consider what you can do differently or how you can adapt. Don’t stay tied to the old way of selling.

Competitors going out of business or going to ground with their head in the sand – this is your chance to be visible!

New knowledge is key – what got you to this point won’t get you to the next point. Continue to learn, read do things you haven’t tried before.
